一、入学基本条件

湖北科技学院（下称“学校”）热烈欢迎符合以下条件的国外青年来校就读：

1.对中国及中国人民友好，对中国文化有一定的了解。无犯罪记录，无不良嗜好（如吸毒等），年龄一般在17-25岁；

2.学生及其家长应充分了解学校的办学理念、培养目标、专业名称、颁发证书、收费标准及有关规定；

3.高中学业成绩良好，热爱医学事业，能刻苦学习，能顺利完成学业；

4.身体健康，无明显功能性残疾，无传染性疾病和心理疾病，体检结果符合“湖北省国际旅行卫生保健中心”的体检标准；

二、入境、入学基本程序

1. 填写由学校提供的《外国留学生学习申请表》；

2. 将填好的上述表格、护照复印件、高中毕业证复印件、有学生及其监护人签名的本“须知”复印件交给学校授权的招生人员；

3. 学校对上述材料进行复核后，邮寄《留学生录取通知书》和JW202表给学生；

4. 学生凭《录取通知书》、JW202表和《外国人体格检查记录》向中国驻外签证机关申请“X”字签证；

5. 学生到中国后，先办理《外国人体格检查记录》确认手续，或到湖北省卫生检疫部门进行体检，然后到学校接受面试；

6. 体检及面试合格后，学校为其办理正式入学和其他手续，收缴学费等其他费资，学生成为学校的正式留学生，并开始享受我校国际学生的一切正常待遇。

三、特别提醒

1.学生在学校学习期间，应自觉遵守中国的法律法规及学校的规章制度，应服从学校的管理；

2.学生正式注册后，须购买相关保险，保费由学生承担；

3.学生有下列情形之一者，学校有权将其开除，学生应承担因此产生的一切不利后果，但学生有权提出申辩和复议。

1）旷课累计达60学时；

2）一学年内考试不及格科目达6门；

3）在学生宿舍留宿异性，情节严重；

4）考试作弊或协同作弊，剽窃、抄袭他人学术研究成果，情节严重；

5）无正当理由，不按时交纳学费；

6）违反中国法律构成犯罪，如贩毒、从事间谍活动。

4.如有下列情形之一，学生不能获得毕业证。

1）有考试（含补考）科目不及格（低于60分，总分100分，下同）；

2）实习成绩不合格者；

3）未完成毕业论文/设计。

5.如有下列情形之一，学生不能获得学位证。

1）未修满规定的学分、补考科目总计达15门及以上者；

2）实习成绩不合格；

3）未能通过毕业论文/设计答辩。

6.学校不同意学生中途转学或无正当理由退学。

7.学校每年只分2次派专人去武汉天河机场迎接新生。

              Admission Requirements

I. Basic requirements:

Hubei University of Science and Technology (HBUST for short) welcomes the international students who meet the following requirements to study in HBUST:

1. The applicants aged 17-25 have a general understanding of Chinese culture and are friendly to China and Chinese people, have no criminal records and bad habits.

2. The applicants and his/her guardian/s get a clear understanding of the educational principles, cultivating objectives, major of study, certificates, scale of fees and relevant regulations of HBUST.

3. The applicants have strong desire to study in HBUST and to devote himself/herself to medicine, his/her high school grades are good, he/she can complete the schooling successfully.

4. The applicants are healthy physically and mentally. The physical examination results of the applicant have to meet the relative requirements laid down by Hubei International Travel Healthcare Center (HITHC for short). Generally, he/she has no significant functional disabilities or infectious disease.

5. His/her family shall have the financial capacity to pay all the expenses required by HBUST to complete the schooling successfully at the very beginning of each academic year.  

II. Procedures of admission to HBUST

1. Fill in the form titled Hubei University of Science and Technology Application Form for International Students (Form 1).

2. Form1, photocopies of your passport, high school certificate and this Admission Requirements signed by the applicant and his/her guardians shall be sent to the agents authorized by HBUST.  

3. HBUST will post Letter of Admission and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202，Form 2) to the applicants after examination of the above documents.

4. The applicants need to apply for X visa (study visa) with Letter of Admission, Form 2 and Foreigner Physical Examination Form at the embassy or consulates of PRC.

5. Upon arrival at HBUST, the applicants need to verify the Foreigner Physical Examination documents or take physical examination in HITHC. HBUST will interview the applicants.

6. The qualified applicants need to register and pay the fees, then the applicants become the

registered international students of HBUST.

III. Warm Tips

1. During the study in HBUST, you need to abide by Chinese laws and the university regulations.

2. After registering, you need to buy Personal Accident Injury Insurance.

3. HBUST has the right to expel one if he or she meets any of the following circumstances (the student bears the consequence and reserves the rights to defense and apply for reconsideration):

1) Classes skipped accumulate to 60 study hours;

2) Courses failed accumulate to 6 in one academic year (two semesters);

3) Lodging another person at apartment without HBUST approval;

4)Cheat or cohort to cheat in exams and academic plagiarism;

5)Fail to pay one’s tuition fees timely without undue reasons;

6)Involved in criminal activities( such as drug-smuggling, espionage etc).

4. One shall not be granted the Graduation Certificate in any of the following circumstances:

1) Each exam (including make-up exam) scores below 60 under 100 score system(the same below);

2) Internship scores below 60;            

3) Fail to finish graduation thesis or design.

5. One shall not be granted bachelor degree in any of the following circumstances:

1) Fail to get the required credits, make-up courses accumulate to 15 or above;

2) Internship score is below 60;

3) Graduation thesis or design or thesis defense score is below 60.

6. HBUST does not approve the half-way transfers and dropouts without due reasons.

7. HBUST will send its staff members only twice per year to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport to pick up international students.

HBUST reserves the right to the final interpretation of the Admission Requirements.
